We don’t open for breakfast at Power Kitchen (though our doors are always open while we’re setting up, so if you pop in after 9am and give us a shout, we’ll always whip you up a coffee or a protein shake)!
We’re big believers in eating for energy and health, so the food we recommend for breakfast is a side-step from many of the stodgy staples that normally pop up on breakfast menus.
One of our favourite dishes is Avocado and Sardine Scramble, a nutritional powerhouse rich in a host of essential vitamins, minerals, and good fats (more Omega 3 than you’d get from 14 fish oil supplements, and more bioavailable to boot). If you’re low-carb, keto, paleo, or simply want a better-quality breakfast than the usual eggs or oats, then give it a whirl!
Tin of sardines in olive oil
Half a large avocado, sliced
Finely chopped spring onions
4 quartered cherry tomatoes
Herbs/spices of your choice (We like it with thyme, basil, garlic, a touch of paprika and a squirt of organic soy sauce)
Pop some coconut oil in a frying pan, add all the ingredients, and scramble with a spatula until hot and tasty!
